On Tuesday, October 21, 2025, at 6:00 PM, Lindsay Marie Morris will be presenting Forgotten Voices: Italian Americans Uprooted in Wartime California at the North Beach Branch of the San Francisco Public Library. The program explores the often-overlooked experiences of Italian Americans during WWII, including internment and wartime surveillance.

These historical stories also inspired her novel, Beneath the Sicilian Stars, which traces the lives of Sicilian villagers and Italian Americans in California during the war. The presentation combines historical research with storytelling, highlighting a vital chapter of Italian-American heritage.
