Pizza, Bagel and Beer Festival by San Francisco Italian Athletic Club Foundation

Award-winning pizzaiolo and legendary restaurateur, Tony Gemignani, in collaboration with the San Francisco Italian Athletic Club Foundation, host San Francisco’s first annual Pizza, Bagel & Beer Festival in the heart of historic North Beach.  The event covers two blocks of North Beach on Stockton and Filbert Sts. along Washington Square.  

In 2023, the event raised over $90,000 with proceeds benefiting local causes; including, Slice Out Hunger, the Salesian Boys & Girls Club, SFIAC Foundation, Saints Peter and Paul School and the North Beach Business Association.

There will also be appearances from renowned pizza makers such as John Arena (Las Vegas, NV), Thiago Vasconcelos (Austin, TX), Alastair Hannmann aka “The Pizza Buddha” (Kauai, HI), O.G. Papa Fern (Brooklyn, NY), and Patrick McColley (Tucson, AZ).

Dago Bagel, Daily Driver Bagels, The Laundromat, BagelMacher, Kaz Bagels, Wise Sons Jewish Deli, and Boichik Bagels.   

Craft beers

North Coast, Allagash, Faction, New Glory, Altamont, Pizza Port, Moonlight Brewing, SF Brewing, Marin Brewing, Morgan Territory, Fort Point, Sierra Nevada, Calicraft, Lagunitas, Standard Deviant, Otherwise Brewing, Ghost Town Brewing, Bare Bottle Brewing Co., Laughing Monk Brewing, Fieldwork Brewing Co., and Enterprise Brewing Co. There will also be a selection of non-alcoholic and gluten free options from Boochcraft, Tolago Hard Seltzer, Nectar, RationAle and Shindig Cider.

HOW MANY PIZZERIAS WILL BE THERE?  

30+ pizzerias have committed and their logos are included in the event images and listed in description (subject to change)   

HOW BIG OF A SLICE SHOULD I EXPECT? 

Expect a cocktail napkin sized portions so you can sample the wide varieties of styles. There is no limit to the number of pizza or bagels you consume during the festival. Please do not ask for food to-go as it will not be honored. Do not bring to-go boxes or food receptacles from home. 

WHAT IS THE OONI COMPETITION?

The innagural SF Ooni Pizza Championship will be an opportunity for pizza entusiasts and home chefs to put their skills to the test in a pizza making competition moderated by pizzaiolos Eidref Laxa -- who recently wone the Ooni Championship at Pizza Expo in Las Vegas -- and Adam Sachs. 

WHAT IS INCLUDED IN THE VIP TICKET?

1 hour early access to the festival. VIP section on third floor of SFIAC facility overlooking festival including open bar, gift bag ($150 value), and charcuterie stations.  

HOW MANY BREWERIES ARE COMING?  

Approximately 20 of the best local breweries are committed (subject to change).

IS THE BEER ALL YOU CAN DRINK FOR THE TICKET PRICE?

Four beers (16oz) are included in the General Admission ticket type. Additional beers, cocktails, spritzes, etc. can be purchased during the festival. Must be 21 with proof of ID. Do not drink and drive.

CAN I ATTEND IF I AM UNDER 21 YEARS OF AGE? 

There are tiers of tickets depending on age. Five years old and under are free.

IS THE FESTIVAL PET FRIENDLY?

Please keep all non-service approved animals at home.   

WHERE SHOULD I PARK?  

We recommend public transportation or Rideshare. Do not drink and drive. There are multiple garages nearby including two garages on Stockton/Vallejo, two garages on Powell/Union and 721 Filbert Street.
